Shib and iifa (International Indian Film Academy Awards) have multi-year partnership agreement!
Shytoshi Kusama (Shib's Lead Developer), announced Shib’s multi-year partnership with iifa Awards (International Indian Film Academy Awards) during the 2024 Blockchain Futurist Conference. He said this during the time stamp from 9:51 to 11:19 in the video. He stated that it is going to be a multi-year partnership agreement, not a sponsorship agreement. The agreement/collaboration includes integrating Shib Technology into IIFA operations. He provided an example where "tickets for the event, which is guaranteed to be sold out, will be powered by Shiba Inu’s ticketing system; marking the first of many events powered by the platform”. IIFA is a prominent event celebrating Indian cinema and culture; with about 800 million to a billion viewers worldwide. Since the $1 billion donation to the COVID Relief Fund of India through Shib tokens by Vitalik Buterin, India knows Shib well. This is a great leap forward to show the world that Shib is NOT just a MEME. Shib has real and practical technological applications; also known as utility!
