Vitalik Buterin (VB), Ethereum co-founder, thanked Shiba Inu for making his AI (artificial intelligence) Fellowship Fund possible.  Amazing news for the Shib Army!  Vitalik Buterin’s AI Fellowship in AI Existential Safety was aimed to support PhD students who will do research on AI Safety. As we know, AI (artificial intelligence) is getting smarter every day and its intelligence can be used for either good or evil.  From Vitalik Buterin’s AI Safety fellowship initiative, we can see that he aims to make our world a better and a safer place, so thanks to him in return.

So what happened?

Vitalik Buterin’s  AI Existential Safety Fellowship Fund is being handled by the Future of Life Institute, “an independent non-profit” organization that aims to  “reduce extreme risks from transformative technologies, as well as steer the development and use of these technologies to benefit life.”  One of the Future of Life Institute’s Board Members, Max Tegmark, who is also a professor at MIT, sent out a tweet on his Twitter account to welcome the eight new fellows to the program.  Then, Vitalik Buterin replied to Tegmark’s tweet said: “Big thanks to the Shiba Inu community, whose cryptocurrency made these fellowships possible”.  His praise for Shiba Inu was well received by the Shib Community as Shytoshi Kusama (Shiba Inu’s Lead Developer)  tweeted in response “Quite welcome fren!”
