Coinbase launched a Coinbase Commerce platform that gives businesses the ability to accept and bill their customers in Shib.
What is Coinbase Commerce?
It is a cryptocurrency platform
that allows business owners to accept and bill customers in cryptocurrency. The platform differs from traditional
platforms in the sense that businesses owners have full control and
responsibility of their funds and wallets and Coinbase Commerce does not have access to any
of business owners’ funds and wallets. However, if business owners lose their
seed phrases to their wallets, Coinbase Commerce will not be able to help
recover/reset the seed phrases or recover their funds.
The integration of their platform
is very simple. If you are a small business
that sells only a few products, they have simple checkout and payment buttons
for you to set up on your site. If you
run an eCommerce store on an eCommerce platform like Shopify, they have quick integrations.
If you need more functionality, they have advanced API (Application Programming
Interface) for you to install.
