Now you can gift your family and friends Shiba Inu eGift Cards with real SHIB tokens in MetaMask Wallets!
This is a new way to buy SHIB token on the blockchain. It is a great way to introduce your family and friends who are new to crypto to the SHIBArmy. GiftChill released actual SHIB token eGift Cards. Currently, there are four types on their website ranging from $500 to $2000.
GiftChill allows users to purchase SHIB tokens already deposited in a MetaMask wallet which simply the purchasing process for first-time holders.
According to GiftChill, after your payment is confirmed, you
will get an email containing a 12-word seed phrase to a MetaMask wallet
containing the number of SHIB you purchased with your eGift Card. You can have
this email sent directly to the person whom you would like to receive the eGift
Card. To redeem the eGift Card, the eGift Card receiver will need to install
MetaMask on a browser or download the MetaMask app on a phone; then, click on
“Import Wallet” under “No, I already have a seed phrase” ; and then type in the
12-word seed phrase received in the email.
For security reasons, GiftChill stated that eGift Card receivers should
transfer the tokens to their own wallets after redeeming the eGift Cards
because a seed phrase to a wallet shouldn't be known to anyone but the
owner of the wallet. This is a great way
to introduce first-time crypto holders to the blockchain and the SHIBArmy.
